1,500mg or less a day: The Sodium Menace

What do instant oatmeal, frozen chicken breast and bread have in common? They're all loaded with sodium.

Lots of it.

Lots of sodium causes high blood pressure. So I have set out to find versions that don't have any sodium, or as much. No wonder they call high blood pressure the silent killer.

People are shoveling in teaspoonfuls every day without ever touching the salt shaker.

  1. What did you do about the oatmeal? I love my peaches and cream and how quick and easy it is to make but can't find something else, what did you do?

  2. Thanks for checking out my blog! I switched to 2 kinds of Oatmeal, both from Trader Joe's. One is instant and one is frozen, they have lower sodium. Do you have a Trader Joe's where you live? Thanks for posting!
